We helped Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner develop a unique, fresh and creative approach to a series of potentially pedestrian educational videos.
The brief required us to grab and maintain the attention of key senior executives, all taking part in training exercises over the course of a long day.
The short films took centre stage, provoking thought as well as providing some much needed entertainment. We also created teasers for social media in the run up to the courses.
Our concept for the cautionary tales was to create something unexpected, which would raise questions and also be fun to watch.
We took the format of a ‘heist movie’, identifying our ‘mark’, exploiting their vulnerabilities, scrutinising their mistakes and laying bare
the consequences of their mis-management and bad decisions, as the structure for the films. We developed a gritty, film noir style with contemporary soundtracks
to heighten the tension, and peppered this with a clever use of on screen text in a ‘house of cards’ style, to draw together both sides of the story.
Unlike anything else seen in its industry sector, the Ocean’s 11-styled approach was a huge success, smashing all of its targets and earning international media coverage.
